We’re expecting additional controller access when we get to the final version of the game, too, with Xbox One controller action on the PC as well – if you’re insane enough to try it. Titanfall brings on a training simulation – which you can see here for Xbox One – that kicks you through button combinations at the start of the game, keyboard or Xbox One controller depending on your system. It’s all smooth sailing on the PC side of things, graphics loading, and all.Ĭontrols are entirely different on each system, while both systems are optimized to make the most of what they’re given. So what are you going to see? You’re going to see roughly the same movements made with a lot more artifact action flying in the face of the Xbox One iteration of the game.
The Xbox One version of Titanfall was built for Xbox One, the PC version was built for PC, scaled differently too. Here you’ve got a roughly $500 machine battling a couple thousand-dollar machine in the end, both of them running ever-so-slightly different builds of the game. With the Falcon Northwest TIKI build we’re using to test this game here, we’ve got a 3rd Generation Intel Core i7 processor (overclocked to 4.5GHz) and a 6GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN graphics card. With the Xbox One you’ve got a single-chip custom AMD processor with 8-core Jaguar CPU with 1.23 TFLOPS AMD Radeon GPU (Graphics Core Next engine). The battle between these two machines running Titanfall isn’t particularly fair.
